The Disruptive Media Learning Lab (DMLL) is looking for enthusiastic individuals to pilot a new programme to gamify learning.
The Game Changers Programme (#gchangers) developed by Sylvester Arnab, Kate Green and Alex Masters at the DMLL, aims to provide staff and students the means to turn teaching and learning into a game. The initiative is motivated by ‘learning by designing’, which is a project-based inquiry approach.
We would like to invite staff and students from all faculties to get involved with the programme. To be able to reach out to students, we would like to have the opportunity to speak face-to-face about this opportunity. Please let Kate (email@example.com) know when would be a convenient time for the team to come and spend 10 minutes with your students.
The Game Changers programme at the DMLL is about using game design thinking for creative problem solving, which will produce outcomes, such as gamified apps, digital games, card or board games. It will be a fun-filled, community based, free and open programme for all students and staff. So there is no cost involved. We will provide all the support and resources.
The Lab is really excited about this pilot and are hoping to have a great group of participants to get involved with the programme.
If you would like Sylvester, Alex and Kate to come and speak to your students about this opportunity, please do not hesitate to get in touch (tweet using the hashtag, or email Kate (firstname.lastname@example.org)).
