Coventry University’s Wikimedian in Residence, Andy Mabbett, is running a series of training sessions to teach Coventry University Group colleagues how to edit Wikipedia. The sessions are aimed at anyone wanting to know more about Wikipedia works, whether that’s for using it as a teaching, learning and assessment tool (something Andy will be developing as part of his project with the university), answering student enquiries about Wikipedia, or just general interest.
No prior experience is necessary.
Andy is also running some courses on Wikidata, a sister project to Wikipedia that hosts linked, open data about Wikipedia article subjects and much more besides.
To book a place, simply search for “Wikipedia” or “Wikidata”, on the staff development portal.
