The Office of Teaching & Learning is a newly formed department focused on the engagement and experience of Coventry University students. DMLL is currently working with the OTL’s Project Officer, Esmé Spurling, who is leading a new project called ‘Guide to Campus’. The project will connect prospective and current first year undergraduate/postgraduate Chinese students to Coventry Campus.
Guide to Campus aims to provide an insight into student life and the expectations of a student at Coventry University. The project aims to provide useful information for Chinese students prior to moving to campus, and to include social/ academic perspectives of the university lifestyle they can look forward to experiencing for themselves.
In order to help aid Coventry University students who are volunteering their time to the project, a mixture of home and international students from all over Campus, we’re working closely with the Office of Teaching and Learning to integrate our Open Badges initiative into the project. Open Badges will be awarded to the participants of the team at the end of the project.
“The Open Badge is something the students will be able to earn when working as part of a team on this project and demonstrating a range of media skills. At the end of successfully completing the project they will be able to apply for an Open Badge demonstrating the skills and experience they have acquired.”
– Oliver Wood, Project Activator, DMLL
