Most staff will use and create digital resources. However, not everyone is familiar with and confident about the use and creation of Open Educational Resources (OER). An understanding of OER and open licensing will support staff in sharing and accessing resources, and in developing key digital literacy skills and knowledge.
Josie Fraser will look at open educational resources (OER) essentials for educators and students. If you work with resources, these are the things you need to know! This practical session will look at how OER can support open and connected practice, including:
- What is an OER?
- What is an open licence, and what options are there?
- Who owns the copyright to resources I create?
- Finding, Creating & Sharing open educational resources
