Sega Mega Drive (Genesis)

Sega’s Megadrive was in the vanguard of 16-bit consoles & had immediate success in the US & Europe, with titles like Altered Beast (1988) showcasing its impressive graphics. Sega created numerous titles for the console, including the iconic Sonic the Hedgehog (1991). US & European firms like EA who felt constrained by Nintendo’s rigid partnership terms welcomed the Megadrive & many iconic sports series including FIFA started out as Megadrive titles.
