Topics covered will include:
Game Design Thinking – This workshop is about creating new gameful resources using existing play as an inspiration. You will have first-hand experience in the method of designing your own game which can adapted and adopted in your practice.
L.E.A.R.N how to Flip Your Course – This workshop is designed to introduce the Beyond Flipped L.E.A.R.N framework and how it can support innovative teaching and learning design. Participants will use the framework to construct a Beyond Flipped learning activity relevant to their individual disciplines.
Lego – This playful workshop introduces LEGO as a teaching and learning tool and encourages staff to embrace creativity as a core part of the curriculum. Participants will build and present metaphorical LEGO models, co-creating the workshop environment around them.
Developing Digital Fluency with the Open Web – This workshop will focus on the potential of the Open Web for teaching and learning and how open educational practices can help students develop key digital competences. The session will introduce the recently approved CU Open Educational Resources (OER) policy, Coventry.Domains and Wikipedia as a platform for active learning.
We will also be showcasing tools and resources developed and curated on the new website to enhance teaching practices and provide solutions to every day challenges.
