The What, Why, and How of web domains for teaching and learning?

April 16, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

A domain is more than a URL, it is an opportunity to own your online presence through the open web while developing your understanding of how the most information and communication infrastructure of all times works.
In this session, connected learning expert Alan Levine will walk you through the key principles and practical considerations underpinning the use of web domains in teaching, learning and academic practice at large.
Using spatial metaphors (e.g. domains as virtual homes, sites a rooms), we will explore together the range of possibilities available through Coventry.domains to those interested in supporting students to become more digitally fluent and how to embed the creation of web domains into the curriculum.
Pop by from 9.30 for networking and informal introductions.
