We’re sad to announce that we won’t be hosting Remix Play 4 this year.
As we all know, 2020 has not been business as usual. While we were originally hopeful about hosting the event in October of this year – and later wondered about moving it to a virtual space – other priorities such as helping the university to shift to remote and blended teaching have taken precedence over organising the event, and we did not want to host something that we didn’t feel would add value to the life and work of our partners and university colleagues.
We’ve therefore made the decision not host Remix Play this year. We know the event is a highlight for many of our colleagues – it certainly is for us here at the DMLL – and we’re sorry to disappoint anyone who might have been looking forward to attending the event – either in person or online.
While we haven’t yet fixed a firm date for Remix Play 4, we’re inclined to think the best time for the event is still at the beginning of the academic year, so the event is most likely to take place in the autumn of 2021 (by which time we sincerely hope we’re able to gather together in person in some form at least).
You can keep in touch with the DMLL and find out about future events here on our blog or on our Twitter feed @disrupt_learn.
