Overview
Metaphorical modelling provides a creative and engaging method for the exploration of topics from any discipline or learning level. It places the student at the heart of the learning experience, delivering quality through peer presentation and reflective discussion.
This approach is designed for participants to respond the topic question by building and then presenting a metaphorical model of their answer. Through this process, participants learn from each others models, providing a rich forum for debate and discussion.
As a means of opening up a conversation, there is no right or wrong model. The production of metaphors is therefore especially useful for increasing student confidence.
