Join us on the 28th November in the DMLL Grass for this special Disruptive Byte on simulation in teaching and learning. Colleagues from across the University will be coming together to share their experiences of simulated learning environments and discussing how they can be used to support innovative practice-based learning.
Held over a Wednesday lunchtime, each speaker will discuss their thoughts for fifteen minutes each, before closing off with an open question and answer session. If you can’t make the event in person then join us on Twitter by searching for #disruptivebytes.

Easy to Use Simulation Technology. Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
Technological advances mean that simulation could also be in the hands of the learner, rather than entirely location-based. This short session aims to provide handy hints, tips and links for free – or relatively cheap – technologies to enhance simulation learning. This will be a information-sharing session and an Internet-connected smartphone, tablet or laptop would be useful to download and access links discussed (this information will also be shared, if required, by e-mail follow-up).
Janet has worked in the Coventry Simulation Centre from its conception, delivering the first course in 2009 and continuing to progress the scope and extent of the courses we deliver. She is a formally trained facilitator, trainer and process improvement coach and has managed teams on construction sites, operational teams, customer relationship management and procurement. In this talk Janet will discuss how simulations can be used to support and enhance the learning experience.
